Came for dinner, there was nobody there, so we thought to go to another place, but ultimately, decided to give it a try. We have NEVER made a better decision. The service was great our server was so kind and helped us with our questions. The food came relatively quick, and was great, the food was so hot and the food was very fresh.

We were in the mood for some Indian food when we visited Hervey bay. Found this restaurant. We were the only guests this evening, apart from all the door dash orders that were being picked up. Service was quick and friendly, food was tasty. The atmosphere could just be so much nicer and more comfortable if the owners invested a little bit in making this place cozy (simple things like painting the walls, putting candles on the tables and making the whole room more inviting). Overall, good restaurant if you are looking for some Indian food nearby.

Aussie Traveller ???????? Indian Restaurant on the Esplanade Hervey Bay, good service and great food. Very tasty and a a lot of choices on the menu. BYO Wine but buy your beers there. Parking out the front. Takeaway available.

We had a lovely first-time experience. We booked and had a table in corner set and ready for us. The meal sizes are better than ‘typical’ of many Indian eateries where sometimes the flavours are similar. But all our dishes were delightfully different in both taste and texture. I meant to check (for review purposes) if they are Gluten free options, so I can’t comment on that. But I can highly recommend this restaurant. And it’s BYO wine only. (I’m so over other restaurants with only $65 bottles.) . My only suggestion would be Indian background music, rather than the TV.

This is a review of the India Gate Cafe This lovely restaurant is now serving great coffee, with breakfast and lunch menus available at very competitive prices Drove past and noticed the cafe sign outside, returned to discover very, very good coffee and warm friendly service A small number of terrace tables out front with restaurant seating inside, and open from 6:30am Terrific to have another great coffee option on the waterfront ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely atmosphere. Fast and obliging service and food was exactly as I had hoped. We were happy with the prices and nice selections of traditional Indian food. Seats were a bit hard but the positives far outweighed the negative. Will go again..
